What.

The.

Fuck.

Did I just read?

Seriously.  I really have no idea how to legitimately review this book, it really is entirely singular in its oddity and feverish audacity.

I can say a few things for certain: It is subversive, funny, exhilarating, captivating, grotesquely allegorical and brilliantly idiosyncratic.

The art is very nice: clean, thick lines against (for the most part) spartan, bare backgrounds. Voids almost, negative space. Whatever the intention may be, it works and the visual storytelling is clear.

The narrative, for all it’s Surrealistic quirks is actually very lucid and  straightforward. It’s just an odd little tale filled with odd characters. I’d be remiss to try to explain the plot, suffice it to say, this is something you should just read and experience for yourself… besides, nothing I write here will do the project justice. I’m honestly  a bit gobsmacked and at a loss for words!

“Our Love Is Real” comes recommended, that’s all I can really say. Think of it as a perversely sexual Dada-esque tone-poem in comic form; Lautréamont meets Alan Moore.

Final Score: 4 out of 5
